Valentine's Day and BBC Radio

February 9, 2017

I can’t believe February’s here already and Valentine’s Day is almost upon us. I’ll spend Valentine’s Day writing the next Polwenna Bay book RECIPE FOR LOVE. I’m having great fun with this latest installment in the Polwenna Bay series and I can’t wait to share it with my readers later on in the year. There were a few surprises as I started to write!

If you are looking for some Valentine’s romance and Cornish escapism, Ness and Max’s story in THE ISLAND LEGACY is out in paperback and ebook now. I’m also working on putting the Audible version together as well which is great fun and a big learning curve. I can’t wait to hear the final version later on in the year.

Yesterday I was interviewed about THE ISLAND LEGACY by BBC Radio Cornwall. You can hear the interview here or below by following my Youtube link. I was nervous but Naomi Kennedy was really friendly and put me at my ease. I also had fun visiting St Michael’s Mount in order to take some publicity photos for the paper (the ones they had were about seven years old from when I wrote my column and I must have been having a very bad hair day) It was a lovely sunny day and the castle looked amazing. I had a lovely walk on the beach and even got to play with a gorgeous Red Setter called Tilly.

CHANCES is now supporting http://farmsforcitychildren.org, the charity founded by the writer Michael Morpurgo and his wife. To know CHANCES is helping city children to experience a taste of life in the countryside is brilliant. In my previous life as a teacher I saw first hand how work like this benefits young people and if you’ve read CHANCES you’ll understand why. http://farmsforcitychildren.org, touches my heart. Each book sold will donate a percentage of the profits to the charity and can buy spades, day visits and week visits. There are two other charities that I’m also talking to and as soon as I get the green light I’ll say a little more. It’s so exciting!
