Exploring the Phenomenon of Time Slips: Is It Possible to Travel Through Time?

 Do you believe in time slips?

 Several years ago I was walking on the river bank near Penpol, when something caught my eye - hidden beneath the undergrowth and shifting mudflats were remnants of the Second World War—crumbling pillboxes, cracked concrete and the remains of a Home Guard station. It was as if the past had suddenly overlapped with the present, and I could almost reach out and touch it. The past wasn’t something distant; it was there, just over my shoulder and at any moment I could turn and see a GI or a young woman in 1940s dress hurrying to meet her secret lover as time slipped and I tumbled through a crack. I almost thought I saw the flash of a red skirt and the fall of dark hair...

 This experience became the seed for the story that would grow into THE PROMISE, but even now, when I walk the river, I wonder what through what era I'm really treading...

There are many accounts of time shifts, such as the famous one at VersaillesCornwall is full of mysteries and strange occurrences and I’ve often wondered if time can truly shift.
