The Power of the Press

18th February Posted by: RuthSaberton at 00:45, March 30 2017. February 18 2017 The Power of the Press Posted by: RuthSaberton at 23:32 How do I top last week? It would be a tough one. I was thrilled to be featured in the local media - BBC radio and papers both print and digital editions. It was absolutely brilliant and thank you to all agencies. The press especially in the case of my pony story CHANCES have proved exactly why the spreading of news is so important. Some of you may know that I’ve been planning CHANCES for approximately 25 years (and I’m not kidding) so when my career as an author really started to develop writing my dream pony book was one of the first projects researched

Dreams can come true

11th February Posted by: RuthSaberton at 00:41, March 30 2017. February 11 2017 Time Traveller Posted by: RuthSaberton at 08:38,. Was I dreaming earlier today about a newspaper writing an amazing piece about THE ISLAND LEGACY’s Max Reynard stealing Ross Poldark’s crown or rather Tricorn Hat? No That really happened - so how come there is a second lovely article in another newspaper EQUESTRIAN section featuring me, Milly and Kiki then? This really must be a dream. Have Kiki and I just won Badminton or does Charlotte du Jardin want to borrow Milly now that Valegro has retired? (That bit’s for those of you who know Milly!) It wasn’t a dream. The WESTERN MORNING NEWS equestrian section ran a

Chances in the Papers

10th February Part 2 Posted by: RuthSaberton at 00:39, March 30 2017. February 10th (Part 2) It just gets better. Not only did the Cornish Guardian do such a great job with their article about Max Reynard aiming for Ross Poldark’s crown or tricorn hat my young adult pony book CHANCES has had a wonderful feature in the WESTERN MORNING NEWS both in the newspaper and digital editions. Click for the WESTERN MORNING NEWS CHANCES FEATURE I’ve mentioned how CHANCES is already helping FARMS FOR CITY CHILDREN and hopefully other charities. As thrilled as I am with this article I am even more pleased as this will help spread the word of the incredible work these charities do helping young people.

Poldark and The Guardian

February 10 2017. Move over Ross Poldark (Cornwall Guardian Article) Posted by: RuthSaberton at 22:44, Dreams really did come true this morning. Waking up to find that the online edition of the Cornish Guardian, Cornwalllive, had written a great article about THE ISLAND LEGACY dubbing my latest heroine’s nemesis, the devilishly handsome Max Reynard, the new Ross Poldark. With Captain Ross now being played by the equally handsome Aiden Turner this really was a dream come true. Max has certainly been a hit with my readers but don’t forget the kindness and inner strength of the novel’s other hero - Adam the stone mason. Adam’s got his own group of fans building fast judging by the comments I’m

Islands and Horses

Island Life (copy from News) Posted by: RuthSaberton at 21:52, February 9 2017. Hi everyone! Since setting up the site there have been so many things happening nationally, globally and closer to home with my writing too that it’s taken a little while to put together the post below but now I’m finally here I’ll do my best to keep you in the loop with my shenanigans – sorry writing updates – my web admin will tell me off if I don’t take it seriously! 2016 saw me release CHANCES my young adult pony story aimed at 12 years old and up. To see this bppk with a best seller tag next to it on Amazon was literally a dream come true. All I need to do now is to do is find a gap in the fabric of space a

Valentine's Day and BBC Radio

I can’t believe February’s here already and Valentine’s Day is almost upon us. I’ll spend Valentine’s Day writing the next Polwenna Bay book RECIPE FOR LOVE. I’m having great fun with this latest installment in the Polwenna Bay series and I can’t wait to share it with my readers later on in the year. There were a few surprises as I started to write! If you are looking for some Valentine’s romance and Cornish escapism, Ness and Max’s story in THE ISLAND LEGACY is out in paperback and ebook now. I’m also working on putting the Audible version together as well which is great fun and a big learning curve. I can’t wait to hear the final version later on in the year. Yesterday I was interviewed ab
